"Solar Fake is the electro solo project of Sven Friedrich, better known as vocalist from Dreadful Shadows as well as Zeraphine. While these are successful rock bands, Solar Fake apparently is entirely different. With Solar Fake he wants to further develop his interest in electronic sounds, which he didn’t get introduced to until later on.
The debut Broken Grid reflects a varied sound. Opening song ‘Hiding Memories From the Sun’ is an emotional and powerful song, which is comparable to the best Zeraphine songs, with the only difference that is electronic this time. ‘Stigmata Rain’ is a song with more dynamics since it moves in between synthpop atmospheres and harsh electro-industrial moments."
